This fireplace mantel is being made custom for you. It takes many hours to custom Grind each of these mantels. No two mantels will ever look a like. Contact us for information. Your mantel will be custom cut from a cedar log and hand planned. The next step is to grind the face of the mantel too a perfect balance of lines and colors .

Everyone of our cedar mantels are custom sawn and sanded. Our mantels are hand made there may be some sanding marks but we do our very best to create a beautiful rustic mantel for you fireplace . We use a urethane finish to protect but recommend our clients take care in how they treat the mantel. Cracks or checking is normal in solid beam fireplace but we dry these mantels so we can kull out the bad ones. Small cracks and knot gaps are filled with epoxy and creates beautiful visual effects. Its typical for larger timbers to have cracks and checking as the mantel matures and continues to cure and age. This is normal and should not cause alarm. Contact us with questions. We guarantee our mantels to be created to minimize this from happening.
